FDTC Hosts American Red Cross Blood Drive

The Pee Dee Chapter of the American Red Cross brought its mobile blood collection unit to the Florence-Darlington Technical College main campus for a blood drive for students, faculty and staff, Wednesday, February 15, 2006.

Tech students and employees were already lining up to give blood while the Red Cross nurses and technicians were still setting up their collections unit.  Rita Jordan, from the College's Business Office, was the first in line.

Red Cross officials say the state's whole blood supply is dangerously low and blood drives like this one at Tech are a great help.
