FDTC Students and Faculty Member Participate In Prestigious Internships

ATE Interns
FDTC students Dallas Monroe and Natissa McLester set up experiments in Washington state.

Engineering Technologies Department Head Kamil Zakhour is in Washington State at the Pacific Northwest Federal laboratories this summer with three of our Advanced Technology Education students who won prestigious internships.

Zakhour is corresponding with colleagues here at FDTC via a daily journal and writes that Shawn Ballenger, Natissa McLester and Dallas Monroe are working hard at setting up sophisticated experiments in scanning and detection devices for clients of the federal labs.

Zakhour wrote that one experiment went so well that the client gave them a vote of confidence. “He was so satisfied with our work that he was willing to fund another experiment. Therefore; we will repeat the experiment next Wednesday with different factors such as two sources with different energy levels. We will be running the experiment ourselves w/o the consultant,” said Zackhour.
