Progress Energy Awards Scholarship To FDTC Student

Progress Energy has awarded its annual Power Careers Internship and Scholarship to Engineering Technologies student Juan Ochoa. Ochoa is a Pamplico resident and a student in FDTC's Engineering Technologies Department.

Ochoa recently met with FDTC President Dr. Charles Gould and Progress Energy Community Relations Director Mindy Taylor, who awarded Ochoa with a check for his scholarship. Ochoa is also being paid for working an internship at Progress Energy's Robinson Nuclear plant in Hartsville.

This is the third year Progress Energy has partnered with FDTC to award the Power Careers internship to an outstanding Tech engineering technologies student.
