Florence-Darlington Technical College students from Sal Pisciotta's and Mehdi Ansari's electronics engineering technology and process control classes recently took a field trip to Nan Ya Plastics in Lake City.

HR Supervisor Mike Kromer welcomed the students, who watched a film about Nan Ya's parent corporation. Members of Nan Ya's HR and Electrical management teams provided an overview of the facility and career opportunities there for FDTC students.

The students also toured a part of the manufacturing facility to get an up-close look at how the polyester thread is made that goes into carpeting and other Nan Ya products.
