FDTC Welcomes New Faculty and Staff Members for Fall Semester
Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) President Dr. Charles Gould is proud to announce the following appointments for FDTC and the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT). Trey Davis is the 3-D Multimedia Developer for the Interactive Digital Center based at the SiMT.
Davis is a graduate of Hartsville High School and most recently was a Graphic Artist for WBTW-News 13. He also was a Graphic Designer for Signsational of Florence and a Production staff member for Cumulus Broadcasting and Root Communications.
Pete Gioldasis joins the ranks of FDTC faculty as a Computer Programming Technology Instructor. Gioldasis received two Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Francis Marion University (FMU), and a Masters of Science degree in Computer Information Technology Management from Webster University. His past work experience includes IBM Technician for Manpower, Manager for Tommy's Thriftway, and adjunct faculty for FDTC and IT/Computer Specialist for Roche Carolina.
Pamela Jackson joins Tech as a Nursing Instructor. Jackson received a BS degree for MUSC in Nursing and a BS degree from FMU in Biology and recently earned her MS degree from Regis University in Nursing Education. She's been a Staff Nurse for Marion Regional Health Care Systems, RN II for DHEC, and was an adjunct instructor for FDTC.
Barbara Kennedy is a familiar face to many at FDTC. Kennedy has rejoined the College family as the Human Resources Manager where she is overseeing benefits, payroll and recruiting.
Kennedy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Columbia College and a Masters of Business Administration from Francis Marion University.
Her previous work experiences include Administrative Specialist for FMU, Administrative Assistant for Darlington County School District, Human Resources Specialist for FDTC, Human Resources Manager for Williamsburg Technical College and Human Resources Coordinator for Florence County Government. In addition, Kennedy was an adjunct instructor for FDTC.
Janet McMahon is also appointed Instructor of Nursing. She earned a Diploma from Geisinger Medical Center in Nursing, a BS degree from St. Francis University and a MS degree in Nursing from Penn State University.
McMahon has served as a Critical Care Staff Nurse, Interim Coordinator of Paramedic Education, Clinical Instructor, IV Team-Registered Nurse, Emergency Room Nurse and Nursing Supervisor for Susquehanna Health Systems, Instructor of Nursing and Community Health Education for Pennsylvania College of Technology and Contributor for Prentice Hall Inc.
She is also published author and is also a consultant and national speaker for continuing education programs.
Turkesha Samuel becomes a Case Manager for Workforce Investment Act program based at the Florence Employment Security office. Samuel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from FMU. Her past work experiences include Social Services Aide and Economic Services Specialist for Florence County Department of Social Services (DSS), Human Services Specialist for York County DSS, WIA Follow-up/Retention Specialist for FDTC, and Income Maintenance Caseworker for Gaston County DSS.
Jonathan Wilke is appointed to the new position of Rapid Prototyping Technician for the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT) and should be a familiar face to his new colleagues at FDTC.
He's a recent FDTC graduate earning an AS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. Jonathan's previous work experiences include Stock Person for Tomlinson's Sales Co., Shift Manager for Pizza Hut, Hood Technician for Texaco Express Lube, Technician at Newco, Inc., Drafter for GoForth Brown & Assoc. and Draftsman/Designer for ESAB of Florence.
