Criminal Justice Instructor Earns National Honor
Criminal Justice Instructor Phil Purpura at Florence-Darlington Technical College was recently recognized by his national peers in the security field. Pupura's authorship of Criminal Justice textbooks and Church Security Project at FDTC has landed him on Security Magazine's second Annual 25 Most Influential people in the security industry for 2007.
Purpura was recognized for not only being a prolific writer on security issues but also serving as a life long innovator in the industry. He founded the nationally recognized Church Security Project at FDTC in response to Church arsons in the Palmetto state which gives students first hand experience in criminal justice and public safety.
