Mission

To provide a flexible curriculum designed to meet the employment objectives of students in occupationally oriented courses.

Description

This General Technology program provides a combination of occupationally oriented courses to meet specific career objectives and the opportunity to get cross-training in two or more specialities to meet the needs of employees who have a variety of job responsibilities. The student and the academic advisor work togethter to design a sequence of existing courses to meet employment objectives.

Graduation Requirements

Complete all required courses specified in the curriculum.
Fulfill all financial obligations to the College.
Achieve a cumulative final GPA of 2.0.
Earn at least 25 percent of the total credit hours of his/her curriculum at FDTC. Exceptions can be made only by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Program Specific Notes

1. A list of specific courses shall be worked out between the student and the General Technology advisor with the approval of the Technical & General Education Associate Vice President prior to the student's completing the General Technology program of study.

2. A written change request shall be submitted and approved by the academic advisor and the Technical & General Education Associate Vice President before the contract is modified.

3. A course substitution may be made with appropriate justification and approval by the Technical & General Education Associate Vice President.

5. Veterans will be responsible for acquainting themselves with VA regulations and ensuring that they are in compliance with same through the campus VA office.
