Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (OWL) features resources for everything from creative writing and writing across the curriculum to business and professional writing (even writing in engineering and other technical fields)--there's a wealth of information here. The address is

Wilton High School has a site chock full of links and tips on essay and technical writing--from organizing to documentation to spelling and grammar. It can be very helpful.

The Write Source--essay topics, student models, students can submit their essays for publication, also links on evaluating sources, MLA and APA style--links on multimedia reports and web design.

Online Technical Writing--this is a textbook online featuring samples and models of business letters, reports, resumes, instructions. It's a great resource for the business and technical writing teacher. (I'm sorry this link is not currently (4/2) working. I think it's worth it to keep trying for awhile.)

Mary-Jo Arn's Guidelines for Writing Essays--focuses on literary essays--tips on using quotations and citing sources--emphasizes the comparison essay.

The Writer's Resource Center--exercises and resources for creative writing--from creating characters and dialogue to marketing tips. Author John Hewitt also expounds on technical writing and provides useful links.
