Humanities Department

The Humanities Department, as part of the Associate of Arts program, prepares students to transfer specific courses, or an AA degree in its entirety, to a four-year college or university.

The FDTC Humanities Department is made up of seven full-time faculty and several talented adjunct instructors, who all work together to advise students and help them obtain the knowledge to complete their AA degree.

Mission Statement

In order to accomplish this, the Humanities Department works cooperatively with all curricular programs across campus to provide the specific general knowledge and intellectual skills needed for students to successfully complete their respective programs and enable students to perform adequately in Society, to develop an appreciation for the Arts, to sharpen all the senses, and to learn how to make aesthetic judgments.
