A student must...
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be a SC resident.
- Hold a SC High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Be enrolled at least 6 credit hours in an eligible program. (If not enrolled at least 6 credit hours, award will be cancelled.)
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Complete all required hours.
- NOT have an Associates or Bachelors degree.
- NOT have a criminal record or drug-related conviction.
- Sign the SCNBG certification form.
- Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

| How To Apply |
- Apply to the college and be admitted to an eligible program of study.
- Complete the FAFSA form.
- If you are applying for the Fall 2012, Spring 2013, or Summer 2013, complete the 2012-13 FAFSA form.
- If awarded the SCNBG, you must sign a certification form.
- If you are a continuing student and received the SCNBG the previous school year, you must have a 2.0 GPA and successfully completed the required hours.
