Student Activities Office
The Student Activities Office, located on the first floor of the 5000 Building, Rm. 5100, provides facilities for activities as well as space for the administrative office of Student Activities, the Athletic Director and the Student Government Association. The Lamplighter Bookstore, Chick-Fil-A, Lounge, and TV Room are all located on the first floor. All students are invited to become involved in the activities at FDTC and to avail themselves of the services and opportunities at the College.
Florence-Darlington Technical College provides a balanced student activities program to meet the needs of its students. With all students living off campus and with the complexities involved at a technical college, a successful student activities program can only be accomplished through the cooperative efforts of students, faculty and administration.

The Student Activities Staff develops, implements, and manages all aspects of student activities to include Student Government Association activities, Student Orientation, athletics, and the Student ambassadors Program. The Student Activities Staff is also charged with developing and maintaining a comprehensive Student Internship component as well as promoting the College's mission in response to the needs of a culturally diverse student population.
Student Activities Policy
The college believes that the provision of a viable and effective Student Activities program serves to complement academic instruction which ultimately facilitates the development of the total student.
The Student Activities Program provides leadership opportunities, establishes supplemental learning experiences, and encourages group interaction among students. This is accomplished through student governance, student organizations, other developmental activities, and appointments to college committees.
