Nationally known custom car artist and Director of Marketing for House of Kolor, Inc., Ron Fleenor stopped by Florence-Darlington Technical College's Automotive and HVAC Technology Center on Tuesday, May 15 to speak with students and perform demonstrations.
While at Florence-Darlington Technical College, Fleenor taught students about some of his unique tricks of the trade. Fleenor demonstrated base coats, wood graining, fingerprint patterns, tape fades, airbrushing and more.
"If they're in this class, they want to learn the body work-paint side of the collision side and learn this trade," Fleenor said while at Florence-Darlington Technical College. "This is just an extra incentive to get them to learn the basics and then roll off into this stuff if they want to pursue it."
Fleenor is originally from southern California, but he moved to Knoxville, Tenn. in 1993 to race dirt Late Models (race cars). He has been painting since 1975 and creating custom projects since the late 70's.
