
FLORENCE, S.C. (May 15,2019) - Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) honored 22 Associate Degree Nursing Program graduates on Tuesday, May 14 at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT).
Each graduate of FDTC’s Associate Degree of Nursing May 2019 class received their pins during the program. After the class received their pins, they recited the Florence Nightingale Pledge.
Graduates were also honored with three class awards that were presented to top students. Winning this semester’s Academic Excellence Award was Blake Rochester of Florence. He had the class’s highest Grade Point Average (GPA). The graduating students voted on the Thelma Laird Award, and winning that honor was Florence’s Andrea Spears. Faculty members voted on the Clinical Award, and this semester’s honor went to Cherelle Sade’ Mace of Florence.
The graduates also heard from keynote speaker Reverend Dr. Gloria A. Robinson, who is an Associate Pastor with the Evening Light Church of God.
