Tina Woodard to Speak at FDTC's 2017 Graduation

Nationally known entrepreneur and South Carolina native, Dr. Tina Woodard, will be the 2017 Florence-Darlington Technical College Commencement speaker. She is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Capstone Performance Solutions in Atlanta, Georgia. Capstone’s primary business is human resources management.

Florence-Darlington Technical College graduation ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Florence Civic Center.

Dr. Woodard is a highly sought after speaker, thought-leader, consultant and executive coach. She calls herself, “a passionate advocate for the success and well-being of youth.” Dr. Woodard co-founded and serves as Executive Director of I Am BEAUTIFUL, Inc., an award-winning not-for-profit mentoring and leadership development organization dedicated to fostering self-esteem and building leadership skills of girls and women.

Dr. Woodard is originally from Spartanburg and earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Human Resource Development degree from Clemson University. She furthered her education by earning a Doctorate with honors in Education at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Woodard holds a Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute. She also earned a Certificate in Local Government and Executive Management from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Woodard’s research in strategic talent management has been featured in the National Association of College and University Business Officer Magazine.  She’s also been a speaker at national and regional conferences.

She has more than 20 years of professional experience in higher education, government and manufacturing sectors. A talent management subject matter expert, Dr. Woodard has designed, developed and facilitated numerous management training, leadership development, succession planning, executive development and mentoring programs.  She has held key leadership roles at Fortune 100 global corporations, large government agencies and at the Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia.
