Due to COVID-19 changes, the FDTC Assessment Center is now offering in-person and online Accuplacer testing opportunities. Beginning Monday, August 31, in-person testing will be open to students on a walk-in basis during the following time slots. The center will only be able to accommodate up to 12 students in-person at a time, per social distancing criteria set forth by FDTC in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) .
Accuplacer Walk-in Time Slots (Temporary):
Monday-Thursday: 8:30am, 9:00am, 9:30am, 10:00am, 10:30am, 1:00pm, 1:30pm, 2:00pm, 2:30pm
Friday: Online only
Tests are untimed. Average test taker completes full test in 3 hours.
Online/remote testing will remain available by appointment, temporarily Monday-Friday to accommodate test takers who are not comfortable with in-person testing. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for online appointments and questions about testing.
Accuplacer testing is a placement test and is comprised of the following portions:
- 20 Math questions
- 20 Reading questions
- 25 Sentence Skills questions
Students are allowed to take the placement a maximum amount of three times. There is a $10.00 retest fee for the second and third attempt of the placement test.
