Post-Vietnam Era Educational Assistance Program
The Post-Vietnam Era Educational Assistance Program, also known as VEAP or Chapter 32, provides benefits for students who entered on Active Duty from January 1, 1977 through June 30, 1985.

How do I use my Chapter 32 benefits at FDTC?
If you have not received VA benefits before:
- Complete an application and be accepted into FDTC.
- Apply for your VA benefits with VONAPP* or fill out a 22-1990.
- Bring a copy of your schedule to the VA Office at FDTC.
If you have received VA benefits before:
- Complete an application and be accepted into FDTC.
- Update your school through VONAPP* or fill out a 22-1995.
- Bring a copy of your schedule to the VA Office at FDTC.
If you are a continuing student at FDTC:
- Bring a copy of your schedule to the VA Office at FDTC
The veteran assumes full responsibility when registering for courses. Veterans will only be certified for VA benefits in courses that are required for graduation in their curriculum. Contact your advisor if you have questions concerning curriculum requirements. The student will be responsible for reimbursing the VA if an overpayment situation occurs.
*The VA strongly encourages students to submit all applications through VONAPP. If students use VONAPP to submit their applications, please print the application and bring it to the VA Office at FDTC along with required supporting documentation.
