70-23 Identity Theft Red Flag Identification and Prevention Policy

Policy Description

It is the policy of Florence-Darlington Technical College to follow a plan for detecting and preventing identity theft intrusions into its installment plans, student background checks and employee hiring processes.

Pursuant to this policy the college created procedure 71-13, a "Red Flag" plan in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Red Flag Rule and related regulations, arising from sections 114 and 315 of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act), which amended the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
