50-09 Student Record Confidentiality

Policy Description

The confidentiality of student records will comply with Section 438 of the General Education Provision Act, which sets out regulations designed to protect parents and students. Specifically, the statute governs (1) access to records maintained by certain educational institutions and agencies, and (2) the release of such records. It is the policy of Florence-Darlington Technical College to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all official student and former student records will be preserved in keeping with all applicable institutional, state, and federal guidelines.
