71-12 Educational Fee Waivers

Procedure Description

I. PROCEDURE

Each academic year, Florence-Darlington Technical College may award up to four percent (4%) of the previous year’s educational fee revenues as tuition waivers to qualified students in the following areas:

1. Designated Programs: The College may allocate educational fee waivers as scholarships to enhance specifically designated programs. Scholarships will be awarded to qualified students desiring to enroll at Florence-Darlington Technical College in the designated curricula.

2. Non-Traditional Student Scholarships: The College may make available educational fee waiver scholarships for non-traditional students.

3. High School Student Scholarships: The College may make available educational fee waiver scholarships to high school students.

4. Presidential Scholarships: The College may make available educational fee waiver scholarships to a specific group of students at the discretion of the President.

5. Minority Recruitment: The College may make available educational fee waiver scholarships to minority students in need of tuition waivers who have applied for all available federal and state financial aid.
