Heritage Digital partners with 44+ Businesses to Support FDTC Students
Heritage Digital held its second annual Feed Hope Food Drive, a campaign designed to combat food insecurity among students at Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC). The 2025 drive saw remarkable growth, with more than 44 businesses across the Carolinas joining forces to stock FDTC’s “Stinger’s Nest” food pantry with essential grab-and-go items for students.
Each participating business hosted a collection box, and together they filled the pantry with much-needed non-perishable food and hygiene products.
“What began as a student-led campus initiative [Thanksgiving Box of Blessings] has become a multi-state network of organizations and people who believe that when we lift up students, we lift up our entire region,” Letia James, Brand Strategy Director, Heritage Digital and FDTC Alumna, said.
The donation event, held September 9 at FDTC, brought together community leaders, students, and business partners. FDTC recognized Heritage Digital with a plaque of appreciation for its pioneering leadership in launching and growing the Feed Hope campaign.
“This donation nourishes both minds and futures, proving that when a community unites, our students thrive,” Paula McLaughlin, FDTC Director of Student Life and Career Development, said.
The Feed Hope initiative directly supports student achievement by helping remove barriers to education. For many FDTC students, who attend classes across six campuses in three counties with no cafeteria access, the pantry provides a lifeline.
“At Heritage Digital, we know the skilled workforce FDTC produces drives our economic growth,” Marty Parker, CEO, Heritage Digital said. “But these students shouldn't have to choose between textbooks and lunch, between personal care items and their next meal. We're not just feeding students — we're investing in our region's future.”
