Program overview
The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Program is a comprehensive 270-hour, non-credit workforce training program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in ambulatory healthcare settings, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, and specialty practices. The program combines 210 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory training with a 60-hour supervised clinical externship, providing students with the knowledge, technical skills, and professional experience required to function as competent clinical medical assistants. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be prepared to sit for a nationally recognized Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification examination (eligibility requirements determined by the certifying agency) and pursue employment as clinical medical assistants in a variety of outpatient healthcare settings.
